3 Shot Poker

About

At the request of some Players (including Mark, Julie, Jim, my brother, and many others whom I cannot remember), I added Three Shot Poker to Riverboat Gambler.

I had not heard of the game before, but it sounds like it has become an instant favorite to folks who have played it. After adding it to the app, I can see why! It's a brilliant spin on carnival poker.

If you are a fan of traditional 3 Card Poker, I would take a side bet that you will probably enjoy it!

Because the game isn't available in my local casinos, I was not able to experience it in Live Play. If you are familiar with the game and notice any issues, please reach out to me and let me know!

The game is played using a standard 52-card deck. Each Player receives two hole cards and three shared Community Cards are dealt. Each of the Community Cards will be individually combined with the Player's two hole cards to form a three card poker hand.

In 3 Shot Poker, the Player is basically playing three separate 3 Card Poker hands and plays those hands against a Pay Table.

Additionally, there is an optional bonus opportunity on the rank of the five card hand that gets created from your two hole cards and the three Community Cards.

I hope you like it! If you have any suggestions or requests for other games, please feel to reach out to me. Riverboat Gambler continues to evolve because of Player support!

How To Play

Placing Wagers

To start a hand, the Player must place a 1st Street wager. This wager may be between the minimum of $5 and the maximum of $500.

Additionally, the Player may also place an optional wager for the "5 Card Hand". This wager may be between $5 and the maximum of $100. This bonus gets paid if the five card poker hand that is created with the three Community Cards and the Player's two hole cards meet the Pay Table criteria.

Wagers are placed by tapping on wager spots on the table. For all wagers, once the maximum, allowable amount has been reached, an additional tap will reset the wager amount to zero. A wager can also be reset by pressing a spot and holding for a brief moment.

NOTE: the design of this particular table game differs from most in that the "street wagers" are placed right-to-left. I retained this layout so folks wouldn't be confused during "Live Play".

Once all desired wagers have been placed, the Player will press the Deal button and play will begin. When the Deal button has been pressed, the Player will receive two cards and three Community Cards will be dealt.

Acting After the Deal

After the Player has reviewed his two cards, he will need to decide to play the hand or to Fold.

If the Player opts to play, wagers for 2nd and 3rd Street must be placed. These wagers must be the same amount as the wager that was placed on 1st Street. Tapping the spots for either 2nd or 3rd Street will place both wagers and end the hand. When the hand is ended, the three Community Cards will be revealed and the Player's three hands and the 5 Card Hand will be read.

If the Player is not confident about the cards that he was dealt, he can "Fold". At this point, the 1st Street wager will be forfeit. If the optional "5 Card Hand" Bonus wager was made, it will still be paid if a qualifying hand is made from the five cards on the table.

Quick Replay

After the hand has ended, if the Player presses the Deal button, the same wagers will be placed and new cards will be dealt. If the Player does not want to repeat the last wagers, play will resume after new wagers have been made and the Deal button has been pressed.

Note: This game was designed to support "Player Slow Roll". Look for this setting under "Preferences" When it is on, the Player cards will be dealt face down and the Player must tap on cards to reveal them. The game will not continue to the next stage until all cards have been revealed.
